Professional Website Design Pleases Search Engines
A search engine friendly web design is not a difficult thing to come by; most professional web design firms follow a few guidelines that will make sure of that. The alternative is absolutely not an option as a bad looking web design will surely cost you great deal of users. An over packed web design is hard on the eyes and the navigation is very hard to see and use, not to mention the content on the site. You must have a professional web design that will follow through on the search engine requirements, even with the best content a site can lose traffic if not optimized by following the guidelines set by the search engines. Search engine friendly website design is what every professional web design company offers; in most cases it is also a very affordable website design.
Professional web design firms take both users and search engines into consideration when creating web design for your site. The first thing they focus on is the usability of the website. Making your site readable and avoiding funny backgrounds will make your site look professional and it will much easier for your victors to understand the content on your website. Using a few preset guidelines will make sure that all of the browsers show your website the same way.
Another thing that makes a website SEO friendly is an easy to use navigation. Larger sites also need to have a sitemap to index, but that is advised for every site, it can’t hurt in any way. Search forms are necessary for larger sites as sometimes people might get confused when they try to find something, or when they land on some deeper page and not on your homepage.
Layout of the website is also very important; it needs to be consistent throughout the entire website so that users will get familiar with navigation and the content. One thing that makes a search engine friendly web design is the loading time of your pages. Search engine don’t look kindly on slow website, and also your users won’t be impressed by the slow load time.
These are all the features you can expect your website to have once you hire a professional website design firm. In most cases you can find a firm that offers an affordable website design, competition made sure of that. Remember that creating a website design that is search engine friendly means that you are creating a user friendly website design. Sometimes you have to pay a few extra dollars to make some, so don’t pass out on professional website design as it is necessary for online success.

Why Should a Website Be User Friendly?
The primary goal of any website is to provide its visitors a more comfortable and user friendly experience. In spite of what market you are targeting, the comments of the visitors play a massive role in determining the success of your website and turning your visitors into customers. Few reasons why you should make your website more users friendly are:
1. As they say, “A customer can make or break the business”, thus, it is more important to design and develop a website that is not just user friendly but also gains the trust and confidence of a visitor. Well-designed and user centric website help you to improve the conversion rate.
2. Sometimes the visitor comes to your website but do not get convinced with the layout or the website just fails to catch his attention, A more convincing and user centric website helps reduce the bounce rate and makes the customer to remain stick to the website.
3. A more user friendly and easily searched website makes the visitor to know more about your products and services that improves your internal page viewing.
4. You may also convey the message more conveniently with an easy to access website.
5. To make a website more user centric, it is important to write a more user friendly and customer centric content. A user centric content not just impresses the visitor but also makes him understand more about your products and services.
A positive experience not just increases business profits but also persuades a visitor to come back later, refer your site to friends and colleagues, sign up for a newsletter, avail your services, purchase your products, submit their enquiry etc. In fact, the search engines today also advice website owners to write their website for the users and not to impress the search engines. Creating a user centric site will bring more visitors that will automatically improve your search engine rankings.
Web Hosting Sites – How to Recognize the Best Ones
Most of you probably do know that there are hundreds, even thousands of hostsites. Some of them are expensive, some of them are cheap and others- even free! However, they are all promising to us that there is no better host site than them and they would offer us the best services only if we picked them. Of course, as an intelligent person, nobody has got to believe such promises because all host aim at is earning more money. But how then are we supposed to recognize the real good web hosting sites from those offering services of bad quality? It is actually pretty simple! There just a few useful tips which you need to know and use when it comes to choose a hosts. Of course, as an intelligent person, nobody has got to believe such promises because all host sites aim at is earning more money. But how then are we supposed to recognize the real good host sites from those offering services of bad quality?
First of all, you shall pay attention to the characteristics such as disc space, bandwidth, RAM, uptime, rating of customers etc. As you probably understand, these are very important because they make you get your first impression. If things seem good, then you should take step number two.
I am talking about reading the offer one more time. But please note that you should read it extremely careful: draw attention to every single word as there are many providers who tend to use the language as a means for cheating. For example, it might be said: “we are offering a disc space up to 200GB”. However, it could be 195GB but it could also be 10GB- they are both “up to 200 GB”. That is what I am talking about!
You should also take caution when the duration of the “mentioned terms and conditions” is concerned. It is a common trick for some host to offer great services but it is also said (with the tiny letters) that the offer is valid for a certain period of time: 3 months for example. It definitely does not sound honest, don’t you think so? Well, the truth is that there are very few honest hosting as everybody is “starving” for money! It is the only way you can prevent yourself from being cheated because, let’s not forget, that an offer is prohibited to content inaccurate information! However, it does not stop the web hosting sites to announce the “non-cool stuff” in a very confusing way so that nobody understands that it is actually something bad.
Digital Marketing Advice – Pay Per Click Advertising
There are two ways for your business to capture people when they are searching for your products online. Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), or Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising.
SEO is the process of optimising your website via the on page content, title tags, and linking strategy, to ensure your site appears high within the search engine rankings. Pay-Per-Click (AdWords, Sponsored Links), is where you buy space via an online auction system. This article is going to focus on the later.
PPC is one of the most effective ways of attracting highly qualified traffic to your website quickly. Your business, via a short text-based ad and a link to your site, is displayed within the Sponsored Links section of the search engine results pages, or SERPs, when people search for terms related to your products.
Google, Yahoo, and Bing, all provide a paid listings area within their SERPs. Unless you’re experienced at running a PPC campaign, it’s advisable to start with one, most likely Google given its popularity, and then move onto the others once you’ve worked out what you’re doing.
Along with the more often used Sponsored Links ads, ads are available to be placed on Google’s partner sites, or anywhere else someone is willing to pay to have the ads displayed, and this is called AdSense. Again, I’m going to focus on the Pay Per Click ads.
As a starting point, most small business PPC campaigns can be easily managed within the AdWords interface. There are a lot of claims from some PPC providers that suggest you need, or should use, PPC software. That simply isn’t the case. If your PPC campaign starts to get a little complex, the Google AdWords Editor is free software that is very easy to use, and can be scaled up as your campaign grows.
Before you start your campaign though, there are a few high level areas you need to get a handle on. Setting up your account will be the easy part, as the online Google interface basically talks you through it step-by-step.
Campaign Architecture -make sure you’re organised. If you plan to target hundreds of keywords, you need to ensure you can track your spend, and are able to analyse the results easily. You should sort your keywords into ad groups, that contain as few keywords as possible, so they can target a specific product. These ad groups should then be sorted into campaigns, to again allow for accurate reporting and tracking. For example, if you sell Electrical goods, you should have one campaign for a brand, then an ad group for each product.
Be specific -when you bid on your search terms, make sure you’re not just targeting keywords with high traffic volumes. Why? Simple really. These broad terms are the most expensive, and will only serve to drive waves of unqualified traffic to your site. Eg someone searching for ‘washing machines’, is less likely to buy something than someone searching for ‘best Fisher and Paykel washing machine deals’.
A/B Testing - the purpose of the short ads you’ll have to write for your campaign, is to induce those people searching for your products, into clicking through to your website. You need to ensure the text ad is alluring to the buyer, and that it stands out from the others. One way to do this is to test multiple ad copies against each other. Once you have a large enough sample size, maybe a couple of week’s worth of testing, keep the best performing ad, and then introduce some others. Over time, you’ll get better at identifying which aspects seem to work the best.
Landing Pages -quite a few people make the mistake of sending all of their AdWords traffic to their websites homepage. If your ad group is about Fisher & Paykel washing machines, make the landing page your washing machine page, and more specifically, the Fisher & Paykel washing machine page. This way, you’re showing the potential purchases the products they are looking for, and will therefore increase your conversion rate. The next most important part of your landing page is the call to action. Can they buy now? Then tell them they can. If they are to call for a quote, tell them that’s what you want them to do by providing the phone number. Letting them sit and wonder about what to do next means you might lose them as a client.
Seasonality -unlike SEO which has a long lead in time, PPC allows you to take full advantage of the seasons. Given the ads can be changed in an instant, you are able to advertise special promotions, or change your ads depending on the time of year, or even the day of the week, depending on your clients past buying habits.
Lastly, make sure your website is something your clients are going to want to see. The last thing you want to do is to spend hundreds on AdWords, only to have thousands of new visitors turned off by a website that doesn’t provide the right information, and is visually poor. Get some advice if you have to, as trust me, it could mean the difference between a massive failure, and an undoubted success.

Link Building Technique
The latest way to get links from blogs is from popular social bookmarking sites. If you have thousand quality links pointing to your site, that say book store Keyword, then you are going to be ranked highly for this term. The remaining 1% of getting top rankings is just including keyword book store at proper places on a web page. Another most powerful ways to get links are articles, because they are always in-demand by website publishers, blog owners, and Ezine writers. These publishers search article directories looking for articles to re-publish. Then, we get credit for our work, and link back to our site, through a short four line resource boxes at the end of our article.
While forum Postings can be short and do not require much effort, submitting articles to directories can be more time consuming, because generally articles are longer than posts, and need careful thinking while writing them. But, it is also worth and it is not so difficult to do. Social bookmarking sites are places, where visitors categorize content using tags or keywords. You can encourage users to tag your sites with plug ins.
One of the online promotion techniques are online press releases. It is slightly differ from traditional kind, it is designed more to generate traffic and back links. Online press release are so effective and there are dozens of free press release distribution sites around the web, such as pr web, pr leap, click press. After few days, your press release are then, get picked up from sites like Google news. Many people search Google news and syndicate press releases via rss feeds onto their website as content, you can generate up to over a thousand back links, if you hit the right topic.
Forums are central place, where you are able to reach a large majority of your market place. And, this is why, participating in them is so important. You can find forums to participate in it at big boards, Google groups, yahoo boards forums allowed to give your business information in signatures. Use anchor text inside, such as having the link to your website. A signature is like a resource box, that goes after your name. Here you can link to your website, and tell the readers, why they should visit. I look for forums that has over 10,000 members, and read the rules of forums to see whether they allow to promote the website and blogs in the signature.

Recent Web Design Trends
Being passionate about web design, we keep an eye on what’s being reported globally around the net by other web developers. We look at what they’re doing, what they’re thinking, and we visit the websites they have designed and developed. Also, even though we only have around 180 ‘live’ customers, we get something of a feel for trends simply by listening to what they are asking for.
So I think it’s fair to say that through our industry watching and our day-to-day customer listening activities we get a fair idea of what’s going on. Doing all that is one thing, but having the ability to take a few steps back to look at the full picture and work out what is happening is another thing altogether.
To be honest, we don’t often get chance to sit back and discuss web design trends. We don’t make a point of doing that because we’re usually up to our necks in what’s happening right now. But recently we had a ‘power meeting’ after hours at the local pub (where else?) to specifically discuss this subject.
The second most memorable outcome of that meeting (I won’t mention the most memorable outcome!) was that only three years ago, our customers were asking for ‘flashy’ websites. They wanted websites which would ‘knock your socks off’ from a design point of view and give the visitor an unforgettable visual experience. In fact, ‘wow factor’ was a phrase we heard many times. The only way to achieve this wow factor of course is by using Flash, and despite our polite protestations about the search engines being blind to Flash, three years ago we were developing lots of Flash websites.
So only three years ago we were hearing that web design with visual impact and movement was king, and our customers were adamant that conventional marketing would bring visitors to their website.
Today, that has all but disappeared. Now it’s all about getting good search engine results. So our customers are now telling us that web design is secondary, all that emphasis on visual impact has taken a back seat in favour of search engine optimisation.
I have always agreed with this philosophy, to an extent, as some of our existing customers will testify. It’s important to get customers to your website (so a full Flash website isn’t going to help there), but once they are there, they have to feel suitably enthused and comfortable browsing your website, which is where web design really kicks in.
It is possible to achieve both a website which ranks well in the search listings and has some impact, and there’s a skill to achieving both which I’m sure any of the companies featured in a web design Sheffield search will be able to demonstrate and produce.
So to summarise, in our experience, over the last three or four years there has been a major shift from placing emphasis on pure visual impact to placing emphasis on achieving good search engine ranking, and for good reason!
